Why are you voting in the Scottish Charity Awards?

To raise awareness of your favourite good cause? To thank an organisation for their hard word? To recognise the dedication of an awesome team of staff? Whatever the reason, we want to hear about it on Good HQ! If you’ve already voted this year (well done, you’re quick off the mark!) then you’ll have noticed that the voting is hosted on Good HQ. Why? Because the Scottish Charity Awards generates so many amazing stories that we wanted to capture some of the feedback permanently and make sure anyone can read about it in the future. Last year nearly 200 people shared inspiring stories about the work the finalists have done across Scotland. Take a look at some of the great feedback that was shared below: “Saheliya was the only one who was there for me during the extremely darkest times of my life. A time of suffering, despair, agony and fear. Then, Saheliya lit up a torch and led me to the path of safety. Furthermore, they taught me how to make and light my own torch!” – read the full review and find out more about Saheliya. “They have helped my pensioner Mum to get to grips with modern technology! All for free and with great patience and goodwill!” – read the full review of Silver City Surfers and find out more about their work. “Doing the Mural was a real community effort, and brought people together, and they really enjoyed doing it, and are proud of what they have done.” – read the full review of the Southside Association and find out more about what they’re doing in the local community. “This project is a brilliant example of the community around Oban coming together and helping to provide something that the children will develop and learn from. A proper example of developing and growing grass roots.” – find out more about the Friends of Oban Community Playpark on Good HQ and read the full review. “After hearing about Euan's Guide, we used it to find new places to visit with my mum who was a wheelchair user and it gave us the opportunity to provide constructive feedback to venues as well. - keep up the good work!” – read this review in full and find out more about Euan’s Guide! This year, we’re hoping to gather many more stories about the fantastic work of good causes across Scotland. Already, there are over 100 reviews of this year’s finalists. If you haven’t voted yet then grab a cuppa and vote now for one of the 38 brilliant organisations and individuals, find out more about their work and remember - if you have a story then share it when you vote!
